About Autism Care Alliance

WHO WE ARE

Autism Care Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting autism awareness through ongoing concerts, providing scholarships for volunteers, and offering resources for autistic children and their families in major US cities. The organization uniquely features the poetry, music, and art of autistic children and aims to engage the community through fundraising efforts.

Our Mission

At Autism Care Alliance, our mission is to create a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with autism. We provide a platform for autistic individuals to express themselves through various art forms, including poetry, music, and visual arts. Our goal is to raise awareness and foster a sense of community through our art programs and events.

Dr. Xiaohong Li

Founder & President

Dr. Xiaohong Li is a neuroscientist and poet specializing in autism research. Trained at Xiangya Medical School and the University of Cambridge, she directs a cellular neuroscience lab in New York. Through research, poetry, music and global advocacy, she advances early autism diagnosis and promotes compassionate social awareness worldwide.

Dr. Ian Alberts
Vice President

Dr. Ian Alberts is a Tenured  Full Professor in the Natural Sciences Department at City University of New York (CUNY). He earned his PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK, and has led multiple research projects funded by UK and US government agencies and national foundations.

Dr. Alberts is engaged in projects addressing neuropsychiatric disorders such as autism, schizophrenia, depression, and substance abuse.

In 2024, he was awarded  NSF grants supporting the EQUINOX initiative focused on reducing equity gaps and promoting equity, tolerance and inclusive approaches among students from different races and  background.

Dr. Alberts has also contributed to big data studies in autism, analyzing genetic, clinical, and behavioral datasets to improve understanding of diagnosis and intervention. His work highlights the therapeutic and educational benefits of music for autistic individuals.

Yanzi You

Founder & Vice President

Yanzi You, U.S.-based independent musician. Founder of the Yan Gui Chao Rehabilitation Special Fund.

Representative works include: “Piao” (Drifting), the theme song for the Oscar-winning film Hero. “Son of the Mountains”, composed for a Paralympic champion. “Dream Back to the Ancient Village”, created for the China Fire and Rescue service. “Flowers Facing the Sun”, composed in tribute to the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

Mr. Park Wu
Secretary-General

Mr. Hongyan Wu graduated from Peking University and began his career in cancer research at the Beijing Cancer Institute, where he studied gastric cancer etiology and obtained a patent for detecting trace carcinogens. He earned Master’s degrees in Chemistry from UMass and in Molecular Biology from UMDNJ. He later transitioned into enterprise technology, bringing over 25 years of experience in Big Data engineering and IT systems across multiple industries. As a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, he led critical infrastructure initiatives, improving reliability and automation of large-scale data platforms and contributing to significant cost savings. His expertise includes cloud-integrated systems and AI-driven data automation.
In addition, Mr. Wu has been an active community leader for over three decades. He co-founded the Beijing Alliance of New Jersey and has organized many large-scale concerts and cultural events in New Jersey, promoting Chinese arts and fostering cross-
cultural exchange. He remains committed to integrating technology, science, and community service to advance collaboration and cultural understanding.

Dr. Linxiang Zhu

Founder & Vice President

Dr. Linxiang Zhu holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and is a teacher at the Elite Scholars Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a poet, lyricist-composer, and translator. Dr. Zhu is a co-founder of the Autism Care Alliance and serves as the Vice President of the Georgia Chinese Language Educators (GCLE). She is also the founder of the Atlanta Original Hymns Concert.

Dr. Ugoji Adanma Eze
Vice President

Ugoji Adanma Eze, Esq., PhD, earned her law degree in London and is a barrister-at-law of the Honorable Society of Grays Inn, London. Barrister Eze is a skilled producer of events and programs at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, who speaks on US National and Cybersecurity; Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Data Privacy.

Rhoda Tam
Treasurer 

Rhoda Tam is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst in New York City. She provides behavioral support and services to individuals with autism and their families. Her focus is helping individuals build communication and develop meaningful life skills that promote independence and improve quality of life.
